Sprint to offer Motorola Debut i856

Motorola Debut Handset After the Samsung Moment, Sprint is now offering users a new Motorola handset called the Motorola Debut i856. This handset will be made available with the Nextel Direct Connect push-to-talk services, reports I4U. Apparently, the Debut is said to be Sprint’s first slider handset.

The Motorola Debut comes embedded with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The internal memory can be expanded up to 8GB via a microSD card. The i856 also offers support for Bluetooth connectivity. The 2.2-inch color display flaunts a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. Apparently, the Debut also has a built-in MP3 player with dedicated external music controls and a 3D Audio equalizer.

The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera incorporates 4x digital zoom and video recording capability. The built-in GPS sensor is said to geo-tag the clicked images. The other features include GPS, Internet connectivity, MMS, text messaging, speakerphone, voice dialing, and gaming. The Debut lets users switch from an active push-to-talk call to an interconnect voice call with a dedicated button.

The Motorola Debut i856 will also support Sprint’s TeleNav Navigation service and web browsing capabilities. Sprint will offer the Debut for a price of $99.99 (approx. Rs. 4,639) with a two year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
