Verizon Wireless and Motorola have announced the availability of the Motorola Rival. Designed basically for messaging functionality, this phone offers users a host of Verizon’s multimedia features including V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video, Visual Voice Mail and VZ Navigator.
This pocket friendly phone comes equipped with a touch dial-pad and a backlit QWERTY keyboard that lights up characters, numbers or symbols based on what users are entering. The Rival is capable of holding up to 500 text messages. The IM-style texting feature organizes messages by contacts and also displays them in online chat format. Users can access text message composition, emoticons, symbols, IM and e-mail with a single touch.
The phone’s 8GB optional memory is capable of holding all the multimedia files along with the sweet memories captured using the 2.0 megapixel camera. The 3.5mm headset jack helps in connecting a headset that allows users to enjoy music and answer calls. The visual voice mail box allows viewing, deleting, replying and forwarding voice mails without a compulsion of listening to irritating voice instructions.
Users can quickly connect to friends via the AOL Instant Messenger, Windows Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger with Mobile IM. The mobile e-mail provides access to Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL and Windows Live. Verizon’s VZ navigator provides turn-by-turn voice directions to the desired destination.
The Motorola Rival is now available at Verizon Wireless’ official website and communication stores for a price of $99 (approx. Rs.4, 700) after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two year contract. Verizon’s other multimedia services will be made available with a nominal monthly access fee.
Its a Very nice phone with all the features and im Getting mine today. i hope this is really good Phone i would never grow to hate.
