Palm now offers users in Canada its multi-featured smartphone called Treo Pro through Telus. The mobile incorporates Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which makes it an ideal device for business as well as casual consumers.

The Treo Pro offers a full QWERTY keypad with a high-resolution color LCD touchscreen. The screensaver lets customers know the time and receive alerts on missed calls or new messages without having to turn on the device. Located on the phone are dedicated on-touch buttons for quick access to e-mail and calendar applications. A ringer switch, also located on the device, is used to silence the phone.

Treo Pro has an array of features like an easy one-touch Wi-Fi button and Telus Navigator which gives users audible navigation. Telus mobile e-mail and Visual Voicemail is also activated in the Treo Pro smartphone. The voicemail indicator flashes to alert customers that they received a new voicemail. This device also gives users full web-browsing ability with Web and 3G network capabilities.

Users of the Treo Pro smartphone are able to view PowerPoint presentations and PDFs as well as open ZIP files. Microsoft Word and Excel documents can also be edited on this phone. The handset is compatible with System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 which gives users easy management of their phone, increased security and access to corporate network information. This function allows users to access their Windows Mobile phone like they access their PC or laptops.

Through Telus, Treo Pro smartphone from Palm gives customers up to date e-mail, calendar and contacts with the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP2 or 2007. The integrated GPS enables consumers to access maps, point-of-interest searches and turn-by-turn directions.
