Sony Ericsson is planning to introduce an Android based handset dubbed Rachael. The phone will be offered as Xperia series device, reports Engadget.
The phone reportedly operates on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This touchscreen device is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera. Moreover, it sports a 3.5 mm jack connector along with a mini-USB connector positioned at the crest of the phone. Apparently, the screen measures up to 4†diagonally and offers a screen resolution of approximately 800 x 480 pixels.
The handset also incorporates 3D graphics functionalities. It also supports HSPA with a speed of around 7.2 Mbps. The phone design does not reveal whether it encompasses a slide out keyboard.
Probably the phone would operate on the forthcoming Android 2.0 software. The handset will perhaps be launched by the end of the year 2009.
