Gaming can now be incredibly fun for all iPhone users. Nickelodeon introduces several games and a cross-promotion network for the developers of the iPhone. This advertising network to be launched is called AddictingGames iNetwork.

AddictingGames iNetwork will permit the company and others to publish games on the iPhone. Outside developers can sign up to make games for the iNetwork .They will gain an access to the AddictingGames suite of game community services as a substitute for a revenue share of their titles. The built-in social gaming features in the iPhone include high scores, reviews, player-matching for multi-player games and upselling.

The games launched by Nickelodeon will be based on properties from Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and MTV. The other divisions of MTV Networks will also be part of the AddictingGames iNetwork.

“The iPhone is perfectly suited for our easy-to-play, fresh, fun games which together present a pretty powerful combination,” commented Dave Williams, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group. “With the AddictingGames iNetwork, we are extending our relationships with developers to the iPhone platform, and are giving them a new promotional vehicle for their games.”

AddictingGames iNetwork for the iPhone is one of the numerous ways by which the site plans to reinforce its relations with game developers. AddictingGames has a Game Performance Bonus program to reward developers who have shaped some high performing games for users. The company is also promoting its games on primetime TV on the Nickelodeon channel through its shows.

The ‘AddictingGames Showdown,’ a unique convergent, prime-time TV event on the channel which took place on June 27, 2009 acknowledged the developers who provided appealing content to AddictingGames. It drew over 5 million votes and 16 million game plays.

The initial AddictingGames titles to be accessible on the iPhone include ‘iParking It’ based on the popular game series ‘Parking Lot’, ‘50 States’ which is a geography game and the strategy game ‘World Wars’. Additional titles for this site are in the works.

On the iPhone, AddictingGames will be supported on the sites AddictingGames.com and Shockwave.com. Certain game applications will also be significantly featured on AddictingGames.com with ‘Download now on iPhone’ advertisements running across the linked game pages.
