HTC Touch Pro2 to Hit USA and other Major Markets by Q2!

Through a twitter feed, HTC has confirmed the launch of the latest Touch Pro2 in North America along with other major markets by late second quarter of 2009.

The twitter page mentions that “the Touch Pro2 will be broadly available in all major markets, including North America.” However, no specific release date is revealed about the successor of the Touch Pro.

To refresh you with the features of the HTC Touch Pro2, it is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and gets powered by Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor. The handset also carries attributes such as 512 MB ROM, 288 MB RAM, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.6-inch large TFT-LCD touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. The company claims that the screen has an adjustable tilt support for better viewing experience.

Some of the other specifications of the mobile device are an integrated-GPS capability, Bluetooth 2.0 EDP, Wi-Fi and HTC ExtUSB. It even packs in a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio and G-Sensor as well as support for microSD memory card.

There is no clue whether the Touch Pro2 will support 3G capability for the US market or not. Let’s wait till the news get official.
