HTC Hero phone is now available for pre-order through Amazon.The phone bundles up 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen, 5 megapixel color camera with auto focus, customizable interface and complete mobile browser that can feature flash based websites.
The HTC Hero handset offers amazing personalization options. Users can personalize the widgets they require frequently and place them on the home screen for quick access. They can customize and create various profiles using the Scenes feature. With this feature, users can create different scenes that reflect their moments of life.
This handset let’s users stay in touch with their friends, family and other contacts. It displays various modes of communication like email, call, message etc. when the user views a contact on the phone. It also shows all the interactions carried out with that contact. One can also check event notices, social network updates and pictures uploaded to popular photo sharing sites.
Users can dial a number by just typing some initial letters of a contact’s name. The phone arranges the list of emails into a catalogue of conversations, a document library of the emails along with attachments and a collection of notes that are flagged as important. Moreover, it also displays online collection of users’ and their (Facebook or Flickr) friends’ pictures.
The phone’s Search button can search through appointments in the calendar, look for the tweets in Twitter, locate people in the contact list and find emails in the inbox.
This 908 grams phone also features 3.5 mm audio jack, Lithium-ion battery, G-sensor, digital compass along with connectivity of Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g HTC Ext USB) and Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for wireless stereo headsets.
It offers a talk time of maximum 420 minutes for WCDMA and 470 minutes for GSM and supports MP3, AAC, AMR-NB, WAV, MIDI, Windows Media Audio 9 V, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264 and Windows Media Video 9 formats.
The HTC Hero phone will be available from July 15 this year. Currently, its available for pre-order through Amazon.
