Modu awarded Guinness World Record for being the World’s Lightest Mobile Phone

Modu phone Modu Mobile has received the world’s biggest honor for its Modu phone. Modu has been presented with the world’s lightest mobile phone award by Guinness World Record for its tiny and sophisticated design.

Weighing only 40.1g, Modu comes with dimensions of 72.1mmx37.6mmx7.8mm (HxBxD). The fully functional and easy to use phone has also won the world’s first modular mobile phone distinction. This sleek phone can easily slide into an array of modu jackets, stylishly made phone enclosures and mode mates.

Zack Weisfeld, modu’s VP Marketing, expressed his happiness, “The Guinness World Record is a great achievement for a team that has worked tirelessly to take modu from the drawing board to producing full working devices in less than a year. From the outset, modu’s tiny dimensions and super light weight have been fundamental to delivering the disruptive, modular communication concept that modu embodies. With modu, the mobile phone can now be added to the list of ‘invisible’ items that people carry with them wherever they go, such as a bunch of keys, their wallet and their watch.”

It features 1GB memory, Bluetooth and music playback. It is believed that Modu has already made a huge impact since its launch at MWC, with mobile network operators, consumer electronics manufacturers and other potential partners all attracted by their revolutionary approach.
