Here’s some news on the iPhone-Killer launched by Samsung. Yes, we are talking about the Samsung Omnia. The Samsung Omnia, also known as the i900 made its presence at the CommunicAsia 2008 held in Singapore.

This touchscreen runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and sports a TouchWiz user interface. You can easily sweep, tap your finger across the screen as well as use the drag and drop option.

It also features a 3.2 inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, autofocus, face detection, smile shot, image stabilizer, GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Stereo. Apart from 8 GB and 16 GB storage capacities, an external microSD card can also be used to add more storage onto the device.

It is expected to hit the European markets in July and the Southeast Asian markets this week. The 16 GB version is suggested to retail for S$1,098 (US$722.37).
