Philips X800, Xenium X-Connect

Get touchy with the latest mobile phones from Philips. The company has introduced two new touchscreen handsets, known as the Philips X800 and the Philips Xenium X-Connect. Considering that the company has kept itself away from the high-end products, this really seems to be a great comeback. Both the devices are fully compatible with a touch-screen interface.

The Windows Mobile-based Xenium X-Connect incorporates a 3-inch TFT touch-screen, an in-built GPS-receiver, Bluetooth, USB and microSD memory card slot. It will also sport a GPRS, UMTS and HSDPA for connectivity.

The Philips X800 is packed with a 2.9-inch 262K color TFT touch-screen display with 240×400 pixels (wide QVGA) resolution, 2G GSM connectivity and Class 10 GPRS. The phone also carries a 2 megapixels auto-focus camera, microSD (TransFlash) memory card slot, Bluetooth, office documents reader and handwriting recognition. If believed, it has the ability to deliver upto 850 hours of standby time and upto 8 hours of talk-time on a single charge.

Not much is known about the pricing and availability of the Philips X800 and X-Connect touchscreen phones.
