Samsung introduces the availability of its first Nextel Direct Connect Phone Z400. The Z400 is available on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network. It is packed with features like Instant Push-to-Talk, hands free capabilities and resistance from dust, shock and vibration.
The Z400 offers military grade durability with faster data transfer speed. Some of its features are a 1.3 megapixel camera, 2x digital zoom and video camcorder. Apart from resistance to dust, vibration and shock, it is coated with rubber that makes the phone scratch free and improves the grip.
The Z400 operates on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network, offering a variety of push-to-talk services and delivers on the Nextel Direct Connect gold standard of connections in less than a second. It is equipped with stereo Bluetooth Wireless technology and the Z400 is compatible with headsets, car-kits and other Bluetooth devices.
The Z400 has various other features like Single number option for both wireless phone calls and Nextel Direct Connect calls, PTT Missed Call Notification, DC Permissions, Group Connect wherein you can coordinate with up to 20 Nextel Direct Connect subscribers at once but you need to possess a Nextel Direct Connect capable Sprint. Similarly TeamDC enables you to coordinate with 35 Nextel Direct Connect subscribers at the same time with a Nextel Direct Connect capable Sprint device.
In select markets the Z400 is available through the Sprint direct sales force, Sprint Telesales at 1-800-SPRINT1 and Sprint Stores. It is priced at just $99.99 after a two-year service contract and a $50 rebate.
