Price and Other Info of Nokia N96 in India Announced

Nokia had recently unveiled its plans of introducing the latest Nokia N96 in India. Now the company has announced the pricing and other information of the Nseries phone.

Scheduled to release on 16th September 2008, the high-end mobile phone perfectly blends style and cutting edge technology.

Based on the Wave Secure – a S60 unique security application, the N96 not only enables users to keep track of the phone in the event of lost or stolen, but also takes a backup of the data through the internet.

It is the first ever mobile device to offer a memory size of 16GB, the storage capacity can be further increased to 24GB with an optional microSD card (16+8).

The Nokia N96 sports a 2.8-inch screen, a ‘kickstand’ tool for hands-free viewing of videos and full-length movies with ease.

The stylish slider handset also comes equipped with high-speed USB 2.0 connection and WLAN and HSDPA in addition to OVi internet service to share, create, organize and transfer music and other entertainment contents. Moreover, it also features Nokia Maps 2.0 application and an integrated A-GPS with upgraded and detailed maps. It also adds City Guides, turn-by-turn pedestrian mode and voice-guided car navigation along with ‘location tag’ function.

The N96 includes 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and video light to capture DVD-like quality video at 30 frames per second. It also comes with a music player, media keys, a 3.5 mm headphone connector and built-in 3D stereo speakers. It also shows off the N-gage gaming service.

The Nokia N96 multimedia phone is priced at Rs. 34,999.
