Apple shocked the whole technology world with the announcement of the music dedicated iPhone last year. The revolutionary feature was the phone’s massive capacity of storage of 4GB and 8GB.
After the launch of the iPhone, tech savvies literary pounced on the device and emptied the shelves. All the same, the 4GB model was discontinued later and the 8GB model’s price was dropped.
Now Apple has shocked the world again by bringing the 16GB model of the iPhone on AT&T’s shelves. The new model will join the 8GB version immediately.
With the new version of the iPhone, Apple has also introduced iPod touch with a higher capacity model of 32GB.
Apart from the memory boosts, the other features of the iPhone as well as the iPod Touch remain as before.
Expressing his views on the new arrivals Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPod and iPhone Product Marketing said, “For some users, there’s never enough memory,” he also added saying “Now people can enjoy even more of their music, photos and videos on the most revolutionary mobile phone and best Wi-Fi mobile device in the world.”
Initially the 16GB iPhone model will be available only in the US market at the price of US $499. While the 32GB model of the iPod Touch will carry a price tag $499.
Current models of the iPhone and iPod Touch are available at the same prices.
