Reliance Communications (RCOM) launched the new range of Classic Colour Phones on Monday, 14th May 2007. Two handsets are available in the Classic Colour range at just Rs. 1234.
The Classic Colour range is the cheapest range of colour phone in the Indian Mobile Industry. No company offers colour handsets at such a low price. Earlier Reliance was offering colour handset at Rs. 2000.
Handsets from this Classic Colour range support CDMA technology. That means the users cannot use any other number except a Reliance one.
Reliance Classic Colour Phones have unique features like ‘SMS on Call reject feature’. This function sends SMS alert to the caller automatically if the call is not answered, informing the caller about his inability to respond.
A week before Reliance had introduced the monochrome range at Rs. 777. Reliance got great response from its customers, and it managed to sell 1 million phones in just a week’s time.
