Skype Freetalk Connect.Me Home phone adapter introduced in the US and Canada provides low-cost calling options to consumers. After PCs, iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones and even HDTVs and Blu-Ray players, it is landlines that are receiving the Skype treatment. The adapter that is to be connected to the landline enables consumers to make Skype-to-Skype calls globally, free of charge.

A PC is needed only for the initial set up of the device where as nothing more than a home phone and broadband cable is required to enjoy the adapter’s features. Consumers also have the option of using the traditional landline to make calls. Skype adapter has the capacity to store up to 100 speed dials.

GE Digital Cordless Expandable Telephone made available by the company adds to its wireless range. It’s Skype certified and helps manage contacts and connect with them free of cost while low-cost calls can be made to other landline and mobile users. All of this can be done without the need of a PC or any other external device.

Skype will introduce a number of calling bundles (for both products) and based on their calling needs, consumers can make their selection. Bundles will comprise international and Unlimited World subscriptions calls to over 40 different countries, including Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Spain and Argentina and Puerto Rico.

Skype Freetalk Connect.Me Home Phone Adapter Bundles and GE Digital Cordless Expandable Phone subscriptions start at the price of $39.99 (approx. Rs. 1,814.) and $69.99 (approx. Rs. 3,211) respectively. The devices are now available at Skype Stores for US and Canada users only. They are also available for purchase directly through eBuyNow and other authorized global retailers and e-tailers.
