Samsung to bring in F10M LED projector with 3LCD technology

Samsung F10M Samsung has revealed plans to launch their all new F10M LED projector that integrates 3LCD technology. Spotted at the CES back in January this year, it lays claim to being the first ever 3LCD LED projector of its kind in the industry.

The feature rich projector delivers XGA resolutions, an image size that ranges between 40” to 300” and exhibits 1,000 lumens with a light life of more than 30,000 hours. It offers users an HDMI input for hooking it up to an HDTV besides allowing for connectivity to a PC. The F10M LED projector comes with instant on/off functionality and claims to require a significantly low warm up time.

“Utilizing 3LCD technology in the F10M was an obvious choice,” explained Tom Grau, senior product marketing manager for Samsung. “The technology advantages offered by the 3LCD architecture ensure the F10M provides customers with an incredibly bright and energy efficient projector, and when paired with an LED light source, even more amazing color and image quality.”

Apart from providing a long light life performance, 3LCD technology is attributed with a host of other useful features. The projector incorporates a 3 chip optical engine that delivers bright and lifelike pictures. 3LCD projectors are known to deliver high color and white light output which helps it project good quality video, text and images.

3LCD technology makes use of 3 panels to reproduce colors instead of a spinning color wheel. This means that the projector does not mar projected images with the rainbow effect or color break-up. The technology promises to provide users with bright and natural images with the help of a wide color production range and competent handling of grey scale.

The Samsung F10M LED projector is slated to be made available in the first half of 2010. The expected pricing details have been given a miss.
