Logitech set to introduce PS3 Harmony Remote Adapter

 Logitech PS3 Harmony Remote Adapter

Get a complete control (including power on / off) over the movie-watching experience on a PS3 with the latest device from Logitech.

Engadget reports that Logitech has confirmed that they are currently developing an adapter, called the PS3 Harmony Remote Adapter, via their official blog.

It would support the company’s Harmony remotes to effectively operate the Sony PS3. It is also mentioned that the peripheral won’t make use of a USB port on the console for easy connection and convenient access.

Logitech’s Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3 is believed to possess an ability to convert the Harmony’s IR signal to Bluetooth, allowing gamers to use it as any other hardware drive to pair it with a home theater system. The functions that are expected to work successfully are power control, movie playback and synchronization with other devices in activity macros.

Sadly, no other technical details of the Logitech PS3 Harmony Remote Adapter have risen. Plus, the pricing and availability are also unknown. More information is expected to get revealed very soon though.
