On Thursday, Bookeen announced a new e-book reader called Cybook Gen3 which uses a new e-paper technology from E Ink.
The e-book reader features Amazon’s Mobipocket eBook format, allowing users to buy and read DRM-protected books from the online retailer.
The upcoming e-book reader features 6-inch, 166 dots-per-inch (dpi) Vizplex e-paper display that offers better contrast. Bookeen claims that the screen is as clear as it would be easily readable in direct sunlight too.
The e-book reader has USB connectivity through which e-books can be loaded in the device. Besides, the reader incorporates a lot for SD card. The battery rates life of around 8,000 page flips.
The most important feature in the CybookGen3 is it’s compatibility with operating systems such as Linux, Mac, and Windows.
The Cybook Gen3 will be launched in US in September and will be available for a price of $350 (around Rs. 14,170).
