I.R.I.S. Group has launched IRISPen 6, which is the new entry in the USB text recognition range of pen scanners.
Many times, retyping the text on the printed paper is necessary and it is a very tedious and time consuming task. The IRISPen 6 scans information on the printed document within no time and it can be entered on into any application. Thus, the device replaces manual encoding and saves time too.
The Scanning Pen can recognize as many as 128 languages and has translator version too. The Translator can convert text in 11 languages. The pen can not only scan text format but also spreadsheets or other unconventional layouts.
The IRISPen 6 is compatible with Mac OS X Panther or Windows 2000 system and later.
I.R.I.S plans to ship IRISPen 6 in three version: IRISPen Express at the price of $129 (around Rs. 5,200), the IRISPen Executive for $199 (around Rs. 8,025) and the IRISPen Translator at the price of $149 (approx Rs. 6,010).
