The Samsung Series 7 Ultra, the first Ultrabook in this particular range of notebooks is all set to be exhibited at the CES 2013. Besides this, the company has also refreshed its Series 7 Chronos lineup which will accompany the aforementioned device to the show to be held next week. It operates with the help of the latest Windows 8 OS.

According to the South Korean manufacturer, the Series 7 Ultra builds up on the capabilities of Ultrabooks and boasts of offering enhanced performance along with touch functionality. Users can also expect the device to deliver decent graphics and improved computing power on the move. Carved out of aluminum, it claims to pack a punch in its sleek 1.46 kilogram form factor which has dimensions of 324 x 224 x 17.5 millimeters. Its touch model is a bit bulkier at 1.65 kilograms and its chassis measures 18.9mm in thickness.

Rear

The notebook has also been deployed with multimedia features to keep prospective customers entertained at all times. Both touch and non-touch versions have been fitted with a 13.3-inch full HD display of 350nit brightness that can render visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolution and provide a wide-viewing angle of 178 degrees. The SoundAlive-enabled device has been integrated with JBL optimized speakers and an AMD GPU as well, while it acquires multitasking properties from the third generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors.

As for the internal storage, it can hold an SSD with a maximum capacity of up to 256GB and tags along up to 16GB of RAM. The Samsung Ultrabook takes not more than 6 seconds to boot up and its touch version runs 4G LTE networks out of the box. Users can easily establish connections with multiple devices with a little assistance from its three USB ports, an HDMI connector, a mini VGA output, a microphone jack, a slim security slot and an RJ-45 port. Needless to say, the notebook employs a backlit keyboard, a clickpad as well as a 720 HD webcam. It can cough up the juice for close to 8 hours on a single charge.

Front

The OEM will take the covers off the Samsung Series 7 Ultra at the CES. Its price and availability details have been kept under wraps for now.
