There may be devices better than netbooks in terms of efficiency as well as portability but that is definitely not stopping companies from introducing mini laptops like the HP Mini 1104. Only recently the Acer Aspire netbook made its way to the AT&T product page and now HP has released its latest contender in this segment.

The mini laptop runs the Windows 7 OS and is fueled by 1.6GHz Intel Atom N2600 along with 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM. It is also deployed with the Intel NM10 Express chipset and renders discrete graphics performance with the help of the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600. The lightweight device measures 10.55 x 7.52 x 0.89 inches and weighs around 1.26kg. It flaunts a 10.1-inch LED backlit WSVGA widescreen of 1024 x 600p resolution.

The netbook offers storage memory of about 320GB as it is integrated with a SATA drive. Besides computing on the move, users can also take advantage of its multimedia features for entertainment. Capable of rendering high definition audio, it boasts of stereo speakers in addition to a headphone jack to support external audio peripherals. This portable PC is armed with a VGA camera to facilitate video conferencing and a spill resistant QWERTY keyboard. Other input options are inclusive of the capacitive touchpad and two soft-touch buttons.

This HP device is embedded with an SODIMM memory slot and a card reader along with outputs like USB 2.0 port, RJ-45, external VGA monitor and AC power connector. It communicates wirelessly with other devices through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and sports an Ethernet port. The Energy Star compliant netbook offers battery life of about 9 hours on a single charge.
