Samsung Series 9 notebook, Series 5 Ultrabook now travel business class

Series 9 Notebook

The Samsung Series 9 notebook and the Series 5 Ultrabook are now aimed at business users as well, mainly by implementing the Windows 7 Professional OS. And to enhance security, these refreshed versions also feature built-in TPM encryption to avoid unauthorized access.

The Series 9 notebooks can be picked up with a SuperBright 1600 x 900 HD LED anti-reflective display in 13.3-inch and 15-inch screen sizes. They share features like the Intel Core i5 3317U processor and Graphics 4000 as well as a 128GB SSD. While the former drags along 4GB DDR3 RAM and a 40Wh standard battery, the latter arrives with a 62Wh battery pack with 8GB DDR3 RAM. Each version of this series is available dipped in a mineral black aluminum or a mystic silver magnesium finish.

Damian Cusick, General Manager, Computing, Samsung UK and Ireland, remarked, “As consumer devices continue to infiltrate the workplace, we want to change this perception among businesses too. Companies are demanding all the business features the workplace requires along with the performance and storage the Series 5 Ultrabook delivers, within its thin and light form factor.”
