HP EliteBook Revolve release date set for Q1 2013, price yet to be announced

The HP EliteBook Revolve release date in the US is expected to fall sometime in March 2013 and its price will probably be revealed when it is ready to be launched. The convertible device can almost instantly transform from a notebook to a tablet and is said to be suitable for business and government professionals.

The latest generation Intel Core processors have been assigned the task of ensuring smooth multitasking, while the device takes full advantage of the latest Windows 8 Pro operating system. A 11.6-inch diagonal HD multi-touch display graces this hybrid gadget and rotates completely to offer a tablet’s functionality. A full-sized backlit keyboard has also been fitted into the notebook and it is packaged along with a pen for input flexibility. The laptop tips the scales at 3.04lbs.

Additionally, it automatically adjusts the screen orientation, brightness and more on the basis of the position in which the device is being used. The HP notebook’s durability can be attributed to the magnesium used for its construction as well as to its touchscreen’s Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating which is responsible for resisting scrapes and scratches.

Front

A 720p HD camera is embedded for the purpose of clicking images and recording videos. Users can also make video calls with a little assistance from the pre-loaded CyberLink YouCam software. The EliteBook Revolve boasts of dual microphones as well as DTS Studio Sound for an improved acoustic experience. Thanks to its enterprise-class docking capabilities, it can easily be connected to an external display, a mouse, a keyboard, a printer or other peripherals.

Featuring Intel Rapid Start technology, the EliteBook laptop is compatible with a solid state drive of up to 256GB capacity. The business-ready device is complete with IT tools like Active Directory, HP Client Security, Microsoft Security Essentials and more. It sports a USB 3.0 port, a DisplayPort, WWAN and NFC support for establishing connections with other gadgets.

The HP EliteBook Revolve is slated to arrive in stores in March next year and as we mentioned above, its price information is under wraps for now.
