The price in India of the Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 has been revealed as the hybrid tablet takes flight in the country. Also introduced is the new Lifebook T902, a portable PC that transforms into a slate for convenience. Designed for the business user, the devices combine functionality of a laptop with a tablet’s ease of use, much like the Sony Vaio Duo 11 and the Toshiba Satellite U series convertible.
The primary difference between a hybrid and a convertible is that the former is a tablet with a keyboard which can be attached and detached, while the latter is a notebook with a swivel or slide joint revealing the integrated keyboard. Both the aforementioned Fujitsu devices were announced for the Asia Pacific region back in July.
Coming to the Stylistic Q702, it can be specified with Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro and is based on an Intel QM77 chipset. It runs on Intel Core i3 and i5 processors and can also be selected with the Intel Core vPro processor. A maximum of 4GB RAM can be added to the device, while the Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU is brought along for the ride.
Other features include an 11.6-inch IPS, anti-glare touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768p, a built-in HD front webcam as well as a 5MP rear camera. Sadly, it can only be purchased with a maximum hard drive capacity of 256GB, but it comes with several I/O slots including a USB 3.0 and an HDMI port, as well as a memory card slot. 3G/4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are optional.
The new Lifebook T902 on the other hand targets those who look for more power than standard tablets can deliver. The 13.3-inch TFT touchscreen device offers a choice between 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7, and Windows 8. There is even variety when it comes to settling on a processor, with options including the Intel Core i5, the Intel Core i7 and the Intel Core vPro.
In addition, the notebook supports up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, while its hard drive choices go all the way up to 500GB. It too comes with an Intel HD Graphics 4000 solution and has a SmartCard slot, an HDMI port, a memory card slot and two USB 3.0 ports. While a built-in webcam is optional, 3G/4G, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity can be added at the time of purchase.
The Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 is available at a price of Rs. 69,000, not including taxes. At the moment it is not clear how much the new Lifebook T902 will cost.
