Asus unleashes G51J 3D gaming laptop

It looks like PC gaming just got more realistic than ever. Asus has introduced the G51J 3D gaming-centered notebook in two models, namely, G51JX-1X110V and G51JX-IX206V. The laptop delivers immersive 3D visuals with Nvidia 3D Vision and the 3D active-shutter glasses that have been explicitly designed for this purpose.

The notebook holds a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor with turbo of up to 2.8GHZ and the Intel PM55 + ICH9M chipset at its core. This Windows 7 Premium OS-run gizmo comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M/GTX 360M graphics offering 1GB DDR5 memory. The HD LED-backlit display that measures 15.6” reproduces visuals in 1366 x 768p resolutions. It possesses 4GB or alternately, 8GB of DDR III main memory and integrates a 2MP camera in its sleek chassis.

Around 400 PC games work with 3D Vision including titles such as World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Resident Evil 5, Borderlands, Star Trek D-A-C and Batman: Arkham Asylum. The G51JX-1X110V comes with two 360GB HDDs, while the other model houses a 500GB HDD. Both feature Blu-Ray DVD Combo ODs and are powered by 6-cell batteries.

The Asus G51J 3D gaming notebook is sold with Nvidia’s 3D Vision kit that contains 3D active-shutter glasses and an RF transmitter apart from a 15” gaming backpack and Razer mouse. It costs Rs.99,000 and comes backed by a two-year global warranty.
