Aimed at style-conscious corporate mobile professionals, HP India releases its new series of notebook PC’s that comprises of four Professional notebooks and two Mobile Workstation laptops.
In the Professional (p) range, the company offers 2530p, 2730p, 6930p and 8530p notebooks. As for the Mobile Workstation line-up, there are HP 8730w and 8530w notebook PCs.
Offering style and high-power PC functionality, the HP EliteBook series meets the military-standard for durability. The rugged laptop range claims to survive in dust, vibration, altitude and even high temperature. The new notebook family boasts of the shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard to withstand bumps, drops and spills.

The robust series of HP Elitebook notebooks is designed using the HP DuraCase that consists of a brushed, anodized aluminum exterior casing and a magnesium alloy chassis to maintain the new-look for years. It also makes use of the unique HP DuraFinish that provides shelter to the notebook’s palm rest and display covers from scratches. Moreover, the use of HP DuraKeys claims to make the keyboard 50 times more resistant to wear and tear with the help of a clear coating on the notebook keyboard.
The new range of computing devices also comes bundled with the HP QuickLook2 software that enables users to access email, calendar, task and contact information in fraction of seconds.
HP also offers its SpareKey feature that solves the issue of forgotten passwords. It asks three encoded personal identification questions that in return provide immediate access to the system.
Powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors, the HP EliteBook series incorporates solid-state hard drives, Qualcomm’s Gobi technology and an optional mercury-free Illumi-Lite LED display.
Talking about the P series of Notebook PC, the HP EliteBook 2530p flaunts its smallest and lightest form factor with an all-day battery life capability. While the HP EliteBook 6930p offers up to 24 hours battery life and business-rugged features, the ultra-slim HP EliteBook 2730p is said to be both a versatile business notebook and an innovative writing tablet. It boasts of the new jog dial to conveniently scroll through documents and web pages with a single thumb action. And the HP EliteBook 8530P amalgamates exceptional computational and graphics performance.
As for the ISV certified W series, the sleek HP EliteBook 8730w features a 17-inch color accurate HP DreamColor screen, whereas the portable HP EliteBook 8530w sports a 15.4-inch widescreen display and the Intel Core Extreme or Quad-Core processor.
Price ranging between Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 1.5 lakh, the P-series and W-series of HP EliteBook Notebook PCs are available across India with the optional ultra-slim battery accessory to deliver up to 15 combined hours of battery life.
