Getac Rolls out new 9213 rugged business notebook

Getac 9213 Notebook Getac has introduced a new rugged business notebook called the Getac 9213. This small and lightweight rugged notebook has been launched to target the business class users. The notebook features a magnesium alloy chassis.

The Getac 9213 is claimed to be an ideal mobile computing companion, thanks to its features like spill-resistant keyboard and touchpad, compact size and advanced functions. Powered by an ultra-low voltage 45nm Intel Core2 Duo Penryn processor, this notebook boasts of an exceptional battery life of up to 8 hours. The optional removable optical drive is said to extend the battery life up to 12 hours.

“Our customers and resellers have been asking for a business-rugged computer that is small and lightweight but still offers many of the durability and security features found in our fully-rugged products,” says Jim Rimay, president, Getac, Inc. “By leveraging 20 years building fully rugged computers, we were able to design the new Getac 9213 to withstand the drops, shocks and spills mobile professionals experience in an incredibly lightweight system with excellent battery life.”

The in-built TPM security module and the fingerprint scanner ensure the security of data. It also restricts unauthorized access to the stored data while the shock resistant hard drive protects the data from physical damage. The other specifications of the Getac 9213 include 1.3 megapixel webcam, two digital microphone arrays and built-in 802.11 a/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth connections. The notebook flaunts a 13.3-inch widescreen WXGA TFT LCD monitor with LED backlight to provide the perfect viewing experience. Along with these features, it also incorporates 3GB of on-board memory and 160GB of storage that can be replaced with an optional 250GB storage.
