Apparently India is said to roll out the cheapest laptop ever which costs merely $10. The development of this laptop will be a breakthrough to solve problems related to low computer literacy not only in India but also other nations.
The Indian government along with two Indian research institutions namely the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has come up with this innovative $10 laptop.
Along with this laptop, a lesser power consuming and low cost access device is also rumored to be under development.
Well, it isn’t clear yet whether the government will be abIe to drag the manufacturing cost as low as $10. They may require a manufacturing company offering low-cost development or will need to shell out a large subsidy for this venture.
