Lenovo introduces its new educational IdeaPad S10e netbook that has been designed for students for one-to-one computing. This portable netbook is a blend of small and light PC device with Internet and multimedia functions at an affordable price.
Complementing Lenovo’s IdeaPad S10 netbook, this e-netbook is an introductory mobile PC for students in grades K-12 and a secondary device for students pursuing higher education. It is ideal for online research and also enables students to share ideas, converse through email and other applications including social networking.
The Lenovo S10e netbook equips an Intel Atom processor, 10.1 inch display, built-in webcam, Ethernet, WiFi3, optional Bluetooth, ExpressCard 34 slot, a 4 GB solid state drive and hard disk drive up to 160 GB. The Quick Start features offers quick and easy access to email, browsing the Internet, video conferencing, view photos and listen to music without the hassles of fully booting the OS. It lets you choose between Microsoft Windows XP Home and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop from Novell.
Lenovo provides flexible warranties which extend up to three years as well as shorter warranty periods that cover limited parts. The IdeaPad S10e netbook will be available by the end of November through Lenovo education sales and business partners.
