TomTom Unveils Go Live x40 Series of Sat-nav Device in UK

TomTom has launched its new line of satellite navigation unit, dubbed the Go Live x40, in the UK market. The range consists of the TomTom GO 940 Live, TomTom GO 740 Live and TomTom GO 540 Live.

Said to be the first series to include a petrol price-tracking tool, the Go Live x40 ensures an optimize search for cheapest petrol that allows motorists to save some bucks while on the run.

The other main attribute of the latest navigation devices is the High Definition Traffic system that has the ability to update live traffic information every three minutes, adapting the changing road conditions to offer the fastest route to a destination.

Moreover, TomTom also adds safety alerts about mobile safety cameras by Road Angel and access from the device to Google. Based on the company’s IQ Routes technology, all the three models are capable of recording a database of historical travel information for every major road at five-minute intervals.

The TomTom GO 940, 740 and 540 feature a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels.

The GO 940 Live comes with a 4 GB onboard memory, European and US maps and promotional £50 fuel card. The GO 740 Live sports 2 GB internal memory, 32 European maps and promotional £40 fuel card. While the Go 540 Live includes 1 GB storage space, UK/Ireland maps and promotional £30 fuel card.

Expected to be available from November in the United Kingdom, the TomTom Go 540 Live costs £300 (approx. Rs. 24,640), the TomTom Go 740 Live is priced at £350 (approx. Rs. 28,780) and the TomTom Go 940 Live retails for £550 (approx. Rs. 45,230).
