Toshiba has rolled out five new laptops to extend the Satellite Pro family. This latest wide range of Satellite Pro series has been developed for business professionals and students.
Powered by Intel Centrino processor technology, the latest notebooks feature Core 2 Duo processors or AMD dual core processors; and run on either Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Home Basic. The basic common features of all models include an in-built 1.3 megapixel webcam with microphone, DVD SuperMulti drive, TruBrite widescreen display, 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN, fast Ethernet, modem and ExpressCard slot and Toshiba’s ConfigFree technology to connect to the most popular types of wired and wireless networks.
For protection, the Satellite Pro models are compatible with Computrace in the BIOS firmware for optional Computrace products, which have the ability to recover the stolen notebooks, while protecting data on missing notebooks.
The 15.4-inch Satellite Pro L300 series and L300D series sport Intel Core 2 Duo processors and AMD dual core processors, respectively. Both the notebooks offer a large work space and even a perfect canvas for desktop presentation. The price starts at $699 (approx. Rs. 27,960).
Toshiba’s Satellite Pro M300 series carries a 14.1-inch TruBrite display, and other business application that deliver an ideal balance between mobility and business essential computing. The starting price is $999 (approx. Rs. 39,960).
A perfect companion while globe trotting, the 13.3-inch Satellite Pro U400 series comes equipped with security and protective measures such as a fingerprint reader and a 3D accelerometer hard drive protection system. It also has Bluetooth connectivity. It retails for $1,049 (approx. Rs. 41,960).
Priced at $1,099 (approx. Rs. 43,960), the Satellite Pro L350 series is bundled with a 17-inch diagonal widescreen XGA+ TruBrite display and full-size keyboard with a 10-key numeric pad and a 160GB hard drive.
All five Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops are available via resellers partners.
