Asus U2E Laptop Launch Delayed

Asus U2E notebook Asus has announced that it has delayed the launch of its eco-friendly laptop, Asus U2E, in North America. The postponement is not due to any technical or production problem, but thanks to the fact that the company wants to also release some other Asus products along with the U2E.

Claiming to be energy efficient, the notebook has been developed to offer an apt balance of mobility, luxury and performance with comprehensive security features, including built-in fingerprint scanner, embedded TPM hardware solution to prevent hacking.

Weighing 1.25kg, U2E comes equipped with an 11-inch WXGA 1366 x 768 LED backlight LCD screen, 32GB SSD and Genuine Windows Vista. It is powered by the Intel Core Duo Processor ULV U7500, Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset and Intel WiFi Link 4965AGN or Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.

Additionally, it features 80G/100G/120G PATA 1.8″ 4200rpm HDD, 2 so-dimm socket for expansion up to 4096MB, DDR2 667 RAM support and 3x USB, 1x VGA, 1x LAN, 1x Phone, 1x micro-DVI ports.

Price and the availability date of the Asus U2E laptop are not yet announced.
