From the release of MacBook Air, lots of other notebooks are rumored about and compared with MacBook Air. One of them is Asus’ Eee PC. Perhaps, its small shape and lightweight are the only features matching to the Air.
But now, rumors are saying that the new generation Eee PC will be equipped with touchscreen capabilities. Further reports say that the new touch panel will feature four-wire resistive touch screen technology.
Asus had already confirmed the plan of introducing Eee PC with 8 and 8.9-inch displays at CES 2008.
The addition of a touchscreen panel to the Eee PC is expected to add $15 to the manufacturing cost of the Asus’ UMPC.
Earlier, the Eee was also rumored of adding WiMax capabilities.
Clouds of the speculations will get clear only with the release of the new generation Eee PC.
