Asus U2E Ultra-light Leather-Bound Notebook Released

Asus U2E laptop A month back, Asus announced that the launch of the Asus U2E laptop had been delayed. Now, the company has finally announced the availability of the ultra-light notebook in the U.S. market.

Offering luxury with style and functionality, the light-weight leather-crafted device is just 2.7lbs making it ideal for travelers.

It sports a 11-inch display screen, built-in DVD-RW, support for Windows Vista, 3GB high-speed DDR2 memory.

The long-anticipated U2E is also equipped with an energy saving back-lit LED panel, micro-DVI, VGA out, an 8-in-1 card reader and three USB 2.0 ports.

Interested buyers have the option to make a choice from the two available hard drive options. If they want to purchase the U2E-A1B that incorporates a 32 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) and a 160 GB external hard drive, it will cost around $2699 (approx. Rs. 168,000). The U2E-A2B that bundles a single 120 GB hard drive retails for $1,999 (approx. Rs. 8,000).
