Philippine PC maker Neo, has announced its newest laptop, dubbed eXplore X1, that has been developed in conjunction with Intel. This laptop is a new member of the eXplore series.
Claiming to be a “ruggedized and shock-proof” laptop, the Neo eXplore X1 features a keyboard that can resist liquids. Designed for primary school children, it is also seems to be a great product for first-time PC users who can gain access to word-processing and Internet with ease.
Powered by Intel Celeron M ULV 353 processor, the X1 incorporates Windows XP Starter Edition as an operating system, Intel GMS915 + ICH6-M chipset, 512 MB DDR2 memory, 7-inch 800 x 480 pixel LCD display, 30GB HDD, 802.11 b/g WiFi.
Weighing just 0.66 kilograms, the tiny notebook PC seems to be the size of a schoolchild’s lunchbox. Supporting SD/MMC Card Reader, it works on a 6-cell battery that delivers 3-4 hours of battery life.
The Neo eXplore X1 mini laptop is scheduled to launch in Philippines for school kids at the suggested price of 16,999-peso (approx. Rs. 16,240).
