Asus has announced the O!Play Mini plus, a TV set top box which also functions as a media player in India. The device enables streaming multimedia content from the internet.
This gadget provides direct access to various online entertainment options like Mediafly, Dailymotion, Facebook, YouTube, Picasa, Flickr and several other internet TV and radio stations. Additionally, it also supports Acetrax, a European on-demand video service. For seamless streaming of multimedia content, the device features Wireless N and Gigabit Ethernet. Optional to this, it also offers 802.11n Wi-Fi support, which allows on-the-go connectivity. Earlier this year, we had also reported about the O!Play Mini media player.

It also possess Asus exclusive functions O!Direct and O!Media Share that helps fast and hassle-free streaming from PC and Smartphones to TV. The O!Play Mini Plus offers features like O!Direct and O!MediaShare. The O!Direct allows users to swiftly stream content through devices with a single click, ceasing the requirement of USB storage devices. On the other hand, the O!MediaShare is meant for wireless streaming of content through the internet. This feature can be downloaded as a free app from the Android Market. Also, the AutoPlay function plays content directly from any connected USB hard drive, flash drive, or SD, MMC, MS, xD card, and stores it in the AutoPlay folder.
Excluding taxes, the Asus O!Play Mini Plus is available in India at a price of Rs. 7,949. It comes with a one year warranty from the manufacturer.
