T-Mobile G2x

Nvidia’s Tegra 2 dual-core processor has been making its way to every other Android device lately. T-Mobile’s G2x with Google which integrates the said chip is set to reach stores on April 20. The smartphone offers some enviable HD gaming abilities and is upgradable to Gingerbread even though the pre-installed OS is cited as Froyo.

LG has fitted a 4” widescreen capacitive touch display onto this handset. An 8MP AF camera on the rear with LED flash is capable of 1080p HD recording. Quite inevitably, sitting on the front panel is a 1.3MP camera for making those video calls. 512MB RAM supports the processing and there’s 8GB of ROM.

An in-built microSD card slot allows for memory expansions of up to 32GB and the G2x runs on a 1,500mAh Li-ion battery. The connectivity options involve DLNA compatibility with HDMI micro out, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and A2DP stereo as well as 4G network capability.

The T-Mobile G2x can be grabbed for $199.99 (approx Rs. 8,890) with a two-year customer agreement and a $50 (approx Rs. 2,200) mail-in rebate card.
