Nvidia’s Tegra 2 Super Chip steps in for new super tablets

The Android operating system is undeniably picking up excellent momentum in this ever-increasing tablet war among various manufacturers. Well, Nvidia’s Tegra 2 Super Chip has enriched this portfolio with advanced functionalities.

Feature-rich tablets from several companies like Acer, Asus and Toshiba precisely merge the capabilities of this remarkable chip with the Android OS to render an uplifted user experience. Equipped with Tegra 2’s dual-core CPU and GeForce GPU, these super tablets delight tech buffs with improved performance.

“Our Android tablet perfectly combines style and entertainment, with many connectivity options keeping you always connected to the web or your favorite media,” quoted Hidehito Murato, Chief Marketing Executive of Digital Products and Network Company at Toshiba. “Tegra 2 is behind it all, providing the power for faster gaming, faster browsing and extreme multitasking.”

The solutions lend support to hardware-accelerated Adobe Flash player as well as load web pages quickly and accurately. Gamers can immerse themselves in action-packed games while these tablets also have the ability to stream HD movies. The Acer Iconia A100 and A500 tablets adorn a high-resolution, high-color contrast 10.1-inch display screen. Besides, the 10-point multi-touch and gyro meter control leverage HD arcade games and online 3D games.

Mark Yang, Acer’s director of product management for the smart-handheld business, commented, “Acer Iconia Tab A100 and A500 are sleek, smart and full of innovative features that consumers will love. Asus is all set to make an appearance with two new super tablets namely the Eee Pad Slider and Transformer. The Eee Pad Slider sports a 10.1-inch IPS tocuhscreen for seamless navigation and a neat slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Eee Pad Transformer is capable of delivering around 16 hours of battery life. It comes along with an optional docking station and a QWERTY keyboard.

Toshiba is carving out a super tablet which boasts of a 10.1-inch widescreen multi-touch display which puts forth 1280 x 800 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. Offering an open design, the tablet will let owners select their most liked back cover or effortlessly replace the battery without any glitches.

These new super tablets are anticipated to revamp the entire computing experience.
