The Ceton InfiniTV 4 digital cable quad-tuner price has been reduced further by $100, that brings the cost for each CableCARD down to $50. Both the USB and PCIe variants of the InfiniTV 4 are now available through select authorized retailers for $199, each.

The quad-tuner makes the PC capable of recording up to four live high definition channels, at the same time. It facilitates streaming or recording channels to multiple TVs and with a little assistance from the Windows media center extenders, it makes Digital Video Recording (DVR) possible on most television sets.

“For anyone thinking about buying a Ceton InfiniTV, there is no better time than now. We are giving shoppers every reason to experience new entertainment scenarios they have only imagined before, and with better value than ever,” quoted Gary Hammer, president and chief executive officer of Ceton Corporation.

Moreover, the Microsoft media center experience not only allows users to watch cable TV, but also lets them take advantage of the Internet TV and watch pictures, videos or listen to music through a single device. Thus, it eliminates the need for cable set-top boxes and hardware rentals. Additionally, individual tuners can be used in conjunction with computer systems running the Windows 7 platform. This enables users to watch TV programs on television sets in addition to PC monitors.

The Ceton InfiniTV 4 digital cable tuner price is now tagged at $199 (approx. Rs. 9,765) in the U.S. It is available through retailers including Cannon PC, Hard Drives Northwest, Microsoft Store, Velocity Micro, Newegg, Amazon, MicroCenter and Fluid Digital.
