LG Electronics has introduced a new home theater system, called the HT972TR. The all-in-one unit features an integrated CD/DVD player, 5 speakers and a subwoofer.
Coming with touchscreen buttons on the front, the CD-DVD players inside the system deliver total power of 1000W, whereas the speakers offer 155W and 255W from the subwoofer.
LG’s latest system also sports an AM / FM tuner, HDMI and USB Plus (Music, Photo & Movie Support) ports and has the ability to tackle upscaling of videos to the Full HD 1080p resolution. Moreover, HT972TR is capable of playing MP3 and WMA audio files, DivX videos and JPEG images. In regards to videos, the unit is compatible with DVD±RW, DVD±R, DVD (PAL/NTSC), CD-R and CD-RW.
LG HT972TR also utilizes the VSM technology (Virtual Sound Matrix/three-dimensional sound) to expand the original 5.1 to emulate a 10.1 channel configuration.
