Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray Player Introduced

Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray Player Panasonic has launched its new High Definition 1080p Blu-ray player, called the DMP-BD30. It supports BD-Video Final Standard Profile 1.1 that allows the unit to provide both a secondary audio and video decoder.

The new imaging chipset has been integrated into the system to improve picture quality. It also features Deep Color Compatibility, HDMI 1.3B, 1080/24p playback, P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing), 148.5MHz/12bit video D/A converter, 192kHz/24bit audio D/A converter, SD Memory Card slot for playback of High Definition content recorded in the AVCHD format and EZ-Sync.

Gene Kelsey, vice president of Panasonic’s entertainment group said, “The DMP-BD30 will contribute greatly to Blu-ray’s mounting lead over the competing format.”

In addition, this next generation high-definition player also comes with a Picture-in-Picture, which displays a second image in another window and Audio Mixing functionality to switch the sound between the main and sub windows.

Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray Player carries a retail price of $499.95 (approx. Rs. 500). The availability of the player is still to be announced.
