After nearly two years of its original release, the Koobe Jin Yong eReader has been graced with a second edition which will show off the incorporation of mirasol display technology. While the first version offered a black and white reading experience, this one will add some color to make the sessions more vibrant.

Besides this, the new technology also brings in several other attributes like better visibility in bright light conditions, intuitive touchscreen abilities and longer reading sessions. While the mirasol display has been developed by Qualcomm, the Android Gingerbread based reading gadget has been named after one of China’s most renowned living authors.

“With Taiwan as home to Qualcomm MEMS Technologies’ growing manufacturing base, it is significant for its consumers to experience the unmatched performance benefits of mirasol displays,” commented Clarence Chui, senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm MEMS Technologies. “Koobe’s next-generation Jin Yong Reader further demonstrates a growing global preference for e-readers that can display a variety of color and interactive content even in bright sunlight.”
