Kobo’s latest addition to its range of e-reading gadgets is the Kobo Vox eReader with the Android 2.3 operating system. This device with its 7-inch AFFS+ display is now being made available for pre-order in the U.S. and Canada.

According to the company, this device is not just limited to e-reading, but it also lets users to connect socially. It is designed in four different vibrant shades like hot pink, lime green, ice blue and jet black. Its integrated memory makes space for up to 8000 eBooks, while the external memory can be expanded to hold almost 40,000 books. Add to that Kobo cloud which offers unlimited storage.

Users of this device will have access to 12 free magazines, in addition to numerous other magazines from Zinio. Also, more than 1,900 newspapers from all over the world will be made from PressReader, out of which seven newspapers seem to be available free of cost. Kobo also proffers Merriam Webster’s Dictionary and unlimited music from Rdio.

The Kobo Vox eReader is now available for pre-order in the U.S and Canada for a price of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,942). U.S residents can grab it via Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics, and Kobo.com, while it can be booked through Indigo Books & Music, Future Shop, Best Buy, as well as Kobo.com in Canada.
