Tursion TS-102 Pico ProjectorThe new Tursion TS-102 Pico Projector is more than what it appears to be. Engadget reports that the device is also an Android-based computer wrapped with Éclair.

The compact Tursion TS-102 was available on Amazon till a few days ago, put on sale starting September 7, is now being reported sold out by the website. According to Picoprojector-info.com, it is the first Android powered Pico projector in the world.

Shaped as a rectangular portable box, the device looks pretty boring on the outside. But what seems to be lacking in looks, it makes up for in the performance by providing 80 minutes of personal cinema experience. The device can store content like videos, music files, office documents, e-books and games with an internal memory of 8GB, expandable up to 16GB. It also allows synchronizing with other external devices.

Powered by a 624MHz processor, the device projects an 800 x 600 image at 20 lumens, up to a size of 100-inch. Along with buttons gracing its top, the user interface includes a remote control and a touchpad. The device allows web browsing and is also Wi-Fi enabled. Other connectivity options include USB, mini USB, and an optical outlet enabling connection to external speakers.

The Tursion TS-102 pico projector was being offered at Amazon at a price of $449 (approx Rs. 21, 096). Currently out of stock, there is an older version of this device available as well. Enthusiastic users wanting to lay hands on the latest version might have to wait a while for it.
