Razer BlackWidow 2013

The Razer BlackWidow 2013 and Ultimate 2013 mechanical keyboards are back for round two, locked and loaded with beefed up features and a new family member, the Tournament Edition. The key highlight of this refreshed series is the enhanced anti-ghosting that it sports.

With the above mentioned attribute, users can press up to 10 keys at the same time while operating in the gaming mode. Since the keys of the Ultimate version are backed up by better backlit illumination, users might find it easy to spot keys in the dark. The BlackWidow 2013 comes with an anti-fingerprint matte coating flaunting a black finish. There is also the company’s Synapse 2.0 technology that automatically backs up user profiles to the cloud.

“We are really excited to release this improved RazerBlackWidow series,” asserted Robert ‘RazerGuy’ Krakoff, president of Razer USA. “Gamers continue to get the most precise and superior mechanical key infrastructure ever designed in a keyboard, but the new and improved BlackWidow series comes with improved functionalities providing an unfair advantage you can literally feel.”

The company has introduced the Tournament Edition for tournaments and LAN parties. To save on space, it sheds the numpad while taking on a minimalistic and compact form. The manufacturer has offered all the three keyboards in a standard and Stealth edition. The latter version tags along brown mechanical keys to deliver better comfort, tactility and response for an augmented gaming experience.

The Razer BlackWidow 2013, Ultimate 2013 and Tournament Edition prices are marked at $99.99 (approx. Rs. 5,550), $139.99 (approx. Rs. 7,770) and $79.99 (approx. Rs. 4,440), respectively. The devices will be up for grabs via Razerzone and worldwide by August this year.
