Maingear upgrades its desktops with Intel i7-3960X Extreme Edition processor

The Maingear desktop lineup namely Shift, F131, and Quantum Shift has recently received an upgrade with the addition of the 2nd generation Intel i7-3960X Extreme Edition processors. Those gamers looking to get their hands on the customizable PCs can give these options a second look.

Thanks to the second generation processors, there is something in here for creative buffs too. According to Maingear, there is a 20 percent increase in the PCs performance while video editing. Additionally, a 14 percent increase in 3D rendering has also been recorded when compared to previous generation processors. Furthermore, the company has shed light on the new EPIC Control Center which is scheduled to release during the holiday season this year.

The desktops include Intel Turbo Boost technology 2.0 and Intel Hyper-Threading technology for boosting performance when required during gaming sessions. Additionally, this platform for gamers also features quad-channel memory that proffers up to 102 percent memory performance which is double that of its preceding generation, to aid all those ardent gamers out there.
