Taito together with the Netherlands embassy in Japan have released the action puzzle game called Waterways, for the iPhone and iPod Touch users. This game is developed by a Dutch studio named Rough Cookie.
The game has won the Netherlands-Japan GameJam 2008 contest for the best game concept.
Netherlands’ hi-fi water management system named Caretaker 3000 goes haywire causing floods in the adjacent areas. In this game, players act as the heroic cow named Patch who helps tackle the problem by repairing the water system. The player can navigate water-filled mazes and drawbridges to stop the leaking valves.
Players might have played as heroic human or robotic characters and accomplished great tasks. But this game becomes all the more challenging and exciting as a simple cow becomes the savior during severe floods.
Gamers may employ the motion sensors and the intuitive controls of their iPhone or iPod Touch to successfully play this game.
Taito Waterways game is available from this month at the Apple App store for US$2.99.
