Recently, we had reported Microsoft Xbox 360 is apparently planning to slash the price of the Xbox 360 Pro. Now, Kotaku has given an update, stating that they have received a phone picture of the internal announcement for the coming Xbox 360 Pro price drop announcement from a GameStop employee. It is believed that the official announcement is slated to be as soon as this weekend, precisely on 13th July.
The image tells us that the Xbox 360 Pro system will sell for $299.99. Below the price details, the photo also states that the news shouldn’t display before Sunday, 7/13.
The price cut date is the day before Microsoft’s is planning a keynote at next week’s E3 gaming conference.
The Xbox 360 Pro (Premium) carries the old 360 bundle with a 20GB hard drive and a recently-added HDMI output.
Microsoft still maintains its silence on the matter.
