Today Online Media Daily reported that a survey conducted by Denizens of Digitivity has come to the conclusion that women play more games than men. According to the survey the Xboxes, Wiis and PlayStations in US belong to women.
Surveyors questioned 1000 people, between the 7th and 11th of September. And the study concluded that 44% of women own a gaming console like a Wii, Xbox or PlayStation, compared to 39% of men.
But the findings also indicate that stereotype of the U.S. gamers are in the age of 18- to-34-year, single and white male. Females hardly like violent blockbusters like Halo. Usually they prefer dance and music games.
If this is the case in all over the world, no wonder Wii is the number one console worldwide.
