Eidos announces New Mobile line-up of Bespoke

Eidos Titles on mobile

Eidos Interactive, one of the world’s leading publishers of video games, has announced its entry into the mobile phone sector with a strong line-up of bespoke titles.

The company’s New Media division has mentioned while releasing the titles that the company serves a combination of original titles and classics from yesteryear.

According to Simon Protheroe, New Media and IT Director at Eidos, “The mobile sector is on the cusp at the moment and we are responding to market demands with a strong line-up that more than meets current consumer and operator demands. We believe that Eidos Mobile has an incredible bespoke range of titles for mobile gamers, we’re looking to attract new consumers to the genre by raising the quality of the end offering – this Christmas has never been a better time to buy your first mobile phone game.”

The included licensed titles are Pandemonium: Crystal Dynamics’ PSone hit, Sola Rola, Championship Manager 2008, Kane and Lynch mobile and Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition.

Below is the detailed information of the above mentioned titles:

The Pandemonium game, an original Crystal Dynamics’ PSone title offering a mixture of puzzle and action, gives players a control of Nikki and Fargus; a wizard-in-training with quick reflexes. It also provides somewhat crazy jester with an even crazier puppet sidekick, dubbed Sid. The player has to collect gems and avoid the enemy gangs as a sweeping camera tracks the player every move.

Sola Rola, an original title, is a fun mixture of puzzle and action elements in which users control two blobby heroes, named the Wiz and Waz. Players need to save the universe by manipulating shapes. The game offers 25 stages for both sides and is packed with puzzles. It utilizes a unique physics system in which objects and characters can be scaled, tilted and used to solve the ever more difficult puzzles.

Championship Manager 2008 mobile version, the pioneer of football management titles, is a fully featured game that has been developed by the award-winning Dundee based Dynamo Games. The game features all the tactical acumen and logistics of the PC title, with a simple to navigate menu system and 2D match overlay.

Kane and Lynch mobile, which is inspired by IO Interactive’s highly anticipated title, allows players to experience 38 adrenaline filled levels through 5 gripping scenarios.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition has been designed to celebrate ten years of gaming’s most famous archaeologist, Lara Croft. The game is inspired by the first three Tomb Raider mobile phone games and maintains the elements of the original mobile games. Taut, and fast-paced, this is a perfect tribute to one of gaming’s true legends and the first title to come from new British Developer, FinBlade.

Eidos titles on mobile phones are expected to be available before Christmas 2007.
